wird das Gebiet nord\u00f6stlich von Burlafingen bezeichnet, das durch eine Vielzahl von Baggerseen gepr\u00e4gt ist. Das ehemalige Kiesabbaugebiet wurden unter F\u00fchrung der Schutzgemeinschaft renaturiert und verschiedene Artenschutzma\u00dfnahmen umgesetzt.<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-text class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-7\"><p>Diese Baggerseen stammen fast alle aus einer Zeit, in der noch ohne gro\u00dfe R\u00fccksicht auf die Umwelt Naturkies abgebaut wurde. Da damals den Kiesabbauunternehmen kaum Renaturierungsauflagen gemacht wurden, entstand so eine Seenplatte mit vielen kleinen Baggerseen mit fast einheitlicher Morphologie und unnat\u00fcrlicher Ufergestaltung. Nach Beendigung des Kiesabbaus wurden diese teilweise verf\u00fcllt oder dienen seither als Freizeitgrundst\u00fccke f\u00fcr Wochenendh\u00e4user oder dem Angelsport. <\/p>\n<p>Um die zerst\u00f6rte Natur in diesem Bereich wieder zu regenerieren, wurde unter Ber\u00fccksichtigung aller Abbaugenehmigungen und rechtskr\u00e4ftiger Bescheide ein umfassendes Renaturierungskonzept von einem Fachb\u00fcro entwickelt, das schlie\u00dflich als \u201eGr\u00fcnordnungsplan B1 \u2013 Seenplatte Burlafingen\u201c im Jahre 1990 vom Neu-Ulmer Stadtrat verabschiedet wurde. Dieser Plan ist seither rechtskr\u00e4ftig und f\u00fcr die Stadt Neu-Ulm verbindlich. In einem Teilbereich eines der st\u00e4dtischen Grundst\u00fccke inmitten der Seenplatte, dem s.g. Hechtsee, konnten erste Biotopgestaltungsma\u00dfnahmen durchgef\u00fchrt werden. Mit schwerem Ger\u00e4t wurde die weit vorangeschrittene Weidensukzession am Ostufer entfernt und die fast 4 Meter hohen B\u00f6schungen abgeflacht. Artenschutzma\u00dfnahme ist die Erstellung einer k\u00fcnstlichen Sandsteilwand mit einer H\u00f6he von rund drei Metern und 10 Metern L\u00e4nge. Unmittelbar unterhalb der Steilwand wurde noch ein T\u00fcmpel angelegt, damit einerseits potenzielle St\u00f6rer abgehalten werden und andererseits die Steilwand m\u00f6glichst nat\u00fcrlich wirken soll.<\/p>\n<p>Dar\u00fcber hinaus wurde durch den Verein eine Uferschwalbenwand gebaut. Sie ist jedes Jahr mit Uferschwaben belegt, die dort Ihre Jungen mit Erfolg aufziehen.
